What is counselling?
Counselling focuses on a particular problem or difficulty that the client is having and is usually short
term. It is always at the request of the client as no one can properly be ‘sent’ for counselling.
What is Psychotherapy?
Also known as the ‘talking cure,’ psychotherapy is the practice of tending to or healing the soul,
body, and mind. It is not about giving instruction or advice.Psychotherapy encompasses past, present and
future, and acknowledges various forms of consciousness. There are many types of approaches and school of thought in psychotherapy; some are better suited for
more immediate, briefer therapy issues, while others are more appropriate for deeper,
longer-term therapy.

What are the Benefits to Psychotherapy?
Firstly the benefits are immense and enormous to the individual the person who wishes to engage with
therapy will experience and see life differently be more open and honest and embrace life’s challenges
with new vigour and strengths. Therapy offers new ways of dealing and seeing situations, which before
were crippling and unachievable.
Other benefits:
- The client can experience an increase in self-awareness and self-confidence self esteem.
- He/she will feel in charge of his/her life.
- He/she may experience better sleeping and eating patterns communication with others.
- Their personal/professional relationships improve.
- Learn to live more positively and creatively

What are your Fees?
I charge €60.00 per session. I offer a Low cost service for €40.00 - 50.00 per session.
This is a limited services and based on attending therapy sessions at 9.15 or 10.30 in the morning morning
for an agreed number of sessions.
Things to be aware of when choosing a therapist
- That the therapist is qualified and a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP)
- That the Therapist is operating out of a base/office not on random weekends from hotels.
