Counselling for Weight Loss
Weight Loss Counselling is a unique new approach to weight loss developed by Billy and his colleague Billy Brogan. It involves a six session programme which is best described as structured sessions of therapy that look at the issues covering a vast number of areas not just around weight but self-esteem, confidence,Triggers associated and around Food, Eating Behaviours, Comfort eating, Why we eat & when we eat.
Why choose the Weight Loss Counselling approach?
The slimming industry today is a multi billion industry, which succeeds on failure. Many individuals who start diets have tried everything and while it works for a while they return to old eating habits. So they fail at one and try another spending hundreds of euros in the process.
Put in simple terms many of these diets and formulas do more harm than good to the body of the individual. A shock diet to the body can be like a car crash that we don’t feel so we will never acknowledge the actual damage we are doing do out bodies.
By fasting everyone can lose mass amounts of weight in the first 14 days then it slows down. This is where these diets fail and prove in much case that they are worthless.
Dieting and weight loss is not just a temporary change but it involves many lifestyle changes and behavioural changes which are controlled by how we think. Positive thinking brings us confidence and self-belief. Counselling looks at the behaviours around eating and the strengths & weaknesses of the individual
The process is developed to offer weekly support to the individual who decides to take control of their eating habits as well as life changing habits, exploring the thought processes around these changes.
One of the toughest things to do in life is to change. Breaking an old habit like the cream cake in the evening or the bag of chips after a night out will work to a while. It involves willpower, inner strength and confidence to say "I don’t want it". Unknown to the individual there is feeling of comfort which often gives us a craving for that. Feeling fed up going for that walk after work isn’t just about the weight its also about lifestyle.
How does Counselling help ?
The therapy is developed to look at the combination of conscious and unconscious
cooperation in support and ideas, combined with addressing any body image issues.
Cognitive therapy combined with person centered and Hypnosis techniques are used in this new exciting
cost-effective approach. If you have any questions around any of the points raised here or wish to make an
